How and when to notify us of a death

If you’re an heir or executor of a deceased loan holder’s estate, it’s best to notify the us as soon as possible. Taking too long can lead to missed loan payments, late fees, and even repossession or foreclosure.

Here are the steps to take when a borrower dies:

  1. Notify autoMHatic as soon as possible: Communicate in writing that the loan holder has passed away. Include the borrower’s name, address, date of death, and basic loan information, like the account number. If communicating via email, please send to customerservice@automhatic.com. If communicating via regular mail, please send the communication to:

    autoMHatic Financial
    PO Box 968
    Southeastern, PA 19399

  2. Provide a death certificate: Please include a copy of the death certificate to verify the event.

  3. Submit executor info: Please provide us with documentation confirming who the executor is, together with their contact details.

Once we have all of this information, one of our customer service representatives will be in touch about next steps.
